Heartbreaking: Captain Mordechai Kadmon fell in battle in Gaza
Captain Mordechai Kadmon, a combat engineer officer from Nof Ayalon, has fallen in battle in Gaza just weeks before completing his military service.

The town of Nof Ayalon has announced the death of one of its residents, Captain Mordechai Kadmon, who fell in battle in Gaza. Kadmon, a combat engineer officer in the IDF, was set to complete his military service next month.
Kadmon was the son of Rabbi Yitzhak and Michal Kadmon, and grandson of Miriam and Zvi Samuel, the Director General of the Shaalvim educational campus. He studied at the Netzer Matai hesder yeshiva in Ariel for two years before enlisting in the IDF as a combat engineer and later advancing to become an officer.
In a statement, the town of Nof Ayalon expressed its condolences: "We embrace the Kadmon family during its difficult hour, and ask that the Creator of the World put an end to our sorrows."
The loss of Captain Kadmon adds to the growing list of casualties in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. His death comes as the IDF continues its operations in the region, with recent reports of other soldiers falling in combat and security forces neutralizing threats.
