Permission was granted to publish that the casualties in the explosive device incident near Hermesh are soldiers on leave.

An IDF spokesperson stated this evening: "Earlier today, two IDF soldiers while on holiday were injured lightly and moderately as a result of an explosion of an explosive device near the community of Hermesh in the Menashe Division. Two additional civilians were injured lightly. The injured were evacuated for medical treatment to Hillel Yaffe Hospital, and their families were notified."

"Security forces rushed to the scene and are currently scanning for suspects in the area."

Hamas's military wing claimed responsibility for the attack.

Earlier this evening, we reported that terrorists activated an explosive device near the Hermesh settlement. An Israeli vehicle with 4 passengers was at the scene when one of them exited the vehicle. At that moment, the explosion occurred, and he was lightly to moderately injured by shrapnel and was evacuated by an intensive care unit to Hillel Yaffe Hospital.

Meanwhile, this evening, a second explosive device attack occurred when terrorists threw an explosive device at an IDF vehicle near Elon Moreh. There were no casualties and no damage was caused.

Lebanonization of Judea and Samaria:

Improvised explosive devices in Judea and Samaria have become a dangerous phenomenon in recent months. Many devices are being activated in Palestinian cities toward military vehicles engaged in arrest operations. In recent months, two soldiers have been killed in such explosions in the Tulkarem area and in the Jenin area.

The expansion of these devices also toward roads used by civilians increases the risk to settlers. Four months ago, an Israeli was injured by a magnetic device attached to a Palestinian flag. The Israeli removed the Palestinian flag from the side of the road, and then the explosive device detonated on him.
