The suspected doctor in the case was arrested by Beer Sheva police officers after raising suspicions among his co-workers during the war, who described his behaviour during this time as very unusual.

The suspect was transferred to the Shin Bet investigation after his arrest by the Israel Police, the General Security Service announced that it opened an investigation under the suspicion of harming state security in combination with apparently other crimes in the field.

A total gag order was imposed on the affair by the courts, and the details of the case and the person considered to be a seller in the southern region and the hospital where he worked are under heavy concealment as well as the crimes attributed to him in full.
