Sniper who killed Tal Lahat eliminated in strike that kills 20 Hamas terrorists

An air strike eliminated 20 Hamas terrorists, including a Nukhba terrorist who participated in October 7 and the sniper who killed Tal Lahat.

In a joint IDF-Shin Bet strike, an aircraft struck and eliminated some 20 terrorists from the Hamas Shati Battalion, including Nukhba terrorists, observers, and snipers belonging to the organization.

The strike eliminated Mohammad Abu Khatab, a squad commander in the Shati Battalion who served as a sniper. Khatab arranged a number of sniping ambushes for IDF forces during the war, including the attack that killed Sergean Major Tal Lahat ob"m.

The 21 year old Lahat from Kfar Saba served as a soldier in the Maglan special forces unit and the Commando Brigade and fell during efforts to destroy terror infrastructure in the UNRWA headquarters in the area of Gaza City on July 9, 2024.
