As the IDF continues its effort to locate and destroy key parts of the Hamas tunnel network in the Gaza Strip, it recently destroyed an offensive tunnel in the Rafah area.

The tunnel, some 700 meters long, contained offshoots, blast doors, a hiding place, and electrical infrastructure.

The tunnel was used for a terrorist infiltration attempt last month, which was thwarted by the Desert Reconnaissance Battalion, which identified and beat the terrorists back, for the loss of one IDF soldier, Sergeant Major Zeed Mazarib z"l, and at least three terrorists.
