A man, aged 70, dies by drowning in the Dead Sea.
According to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, this afternoon a male in his seventies died from drowning in the Dead Sea.
This marks yet another tragic incident that challenges the wide belief that it is impossible to drown in the renown Dead Sea.
Medics extracted the man from the water while unconscious and attempted to revive him; however, MDA later declared him deceased.
With the extremely high levels of salt present in the water that can cause the body to shut down, it is considered one of the more dangerous places to swim with multiple drownings occurring over the years.
