Prime Minister US visit, Netanyahu, flight

The 'Knaf Zion' plane made its first flight to the USA

After it was reported that the "Kenaf Zion" plane would not be able to fly to the USA with a full capacity: it is now being reported by kan 11 news that the plane took off today for the first time, heading for the USA ahead of Netanyahu's visit to Washington.

Prime Minister Knaf Zion's plane took off today (Tuesday) from Nevatim air base towards Washington with some of the equipment and the security team on board ahead of Netanyahu's visit to the US, journalist Michael Shemesh published on Kan 11 news sites.

After the issue of the Prime Minister's plane capacity was revealed, it now turns out that the plane will have 2 exiles and two separate flights to Washington to enable Netanyahu's visit to the US next week. This is the first transatlantic flight of the plane after it has been modified and adapted for the Prime Minister. These are of course very high costs around each flight and according to the parties involved the cost of the flight is more than 200,000 dollars.

This comes after a report a few weeks ago that after an investment of hundreds of millions and years of preparation, last month the Prime Minister's Office found out that 'Zion Wing' would not be able to fly to the US at full occupancy. The plane, which has about 80 passenger seats, will have to fly with only about 60 passengers, a number that includes the entire security team, entourage and communication teams, reporters and photographers.
