On Tuesday night, IDF soldiers, under Shin Bet's direction, operated in Al-Bira, within the Binyamin regional division, to combat terrorism. During the mission, a terrorist charged at the soldiers with a knife and managed to stab one of them. Another soldier responded by shooting and killing the 19-year-old terrorist from Gaza.

The injured soldier was transported to a hospital for minor medical treatment.

Border Police Commander Major General Itzhak Brik visited the hospital to commend the soldier: "Your quick, determined, and sharp reaction in recognizing the threat, making contact, and eliminating the terrorist was exemplary. You acted as a Military Police fighter is expected to act in this situation. I wish you a speedy recovery."
