Shin Bet: This is the new weapon of terror organizations in Judea and Samaria

Israel's Internal security agency, Shin Bet, was shocked to discover terror organizations in Judea and Samaria are turning fertilizers into explosives for terror purposes.

Shin Bet has exposed that knowledge from Iran is being used by these organizations to produce explosives and charges from agricultural products. Fertilizers used for agriculture are being utilized for terrorist purposes throughout Judea and Samaria, as reported by the military correspondent of the "Maariv" website, Avi Ashkenazi.

According to the report, the IDF has begun monitoring fertilizers and chemicals used for agriculture and industry imported into Palestinian Authority territories, as the army and Shin Bet have uncovered increased use of chemicals for agriculture by Islamic Jihad terrorists in the north.

Additionally, according to information gathered by Shin Bet, the knowledge is transferred through Iran to operatives in Judea and Samaria via internet correspondence and through online guidance sites. The basis for preparing the charges consists of fertilizers and chemicals can be found temporarily in various industries and in agriculture.

Last week, IDF, Border Police, Civil Administration, and Shin Bet forces conducted a wide-ranging first operation during which they seized over 150 sacks of materials for preparing charges throughout the Central Command. As part of the activities, the forces arrested six shop owners who sold the materials and transferred them for further investigation by security forces.

Additionally, upon the recent assumption of office by the new Central Command Chief, Major General Avi Blot, he instructed intelligence and operational units in the Central Command and the Judea and Samaria Division to prioritize locating explosive labs and significantly intensify and closely monitor the trade of chemicals and fertilizers in Judea and Samaria.
