Report: Hamas blocking access to Mohammad Deif's body

Hamas has reportedly made the hospital at Deir el-Balah - where the wounded and killed from the strike were evacuated - into a fortified site, in order to deny the IDF access and the ability to confirm that one of the bodies belongs to Deif himself.

Following official confirmation of the elimination of Mohammad Deif's close associate and commander of the Hamas Khan Yunis brigade today (Sunday), Israel is waiting for confirmation that Deif himself, Hamas' effective Chief of Staff, was also eliminated in the strike.

According to Yoav Zitun of Ynet, Hamas has made the hospital at Deir el-Balah - where the wounded and killed from the strike were evacuated - into a fortified site, in order to deny the IDF access and the ability to confirm that one of the bodies belongs to Deif himself.

Hamas has also reportedly entirely cordoned off the hospital and control the information flow in and out of it.
