Morocco is about to purchase an Israeli spy satellite from the Aerospace Industry in a deal that is estimated to be worth one billion dollars and will last for a period of about five years, as reported by Channel 14 News.
According to reports, Morocco will purchase two satellites from the Offset 3000 series, on the basis of which the IDF's spy satellites are also built. They will replace two spy satellites that Morocco previously purchased from a consortium of companies from France, Italy and Germany, which have a lower resolution.
Since the Abraham Accords, Morocco has also purchased the Barak 8 air defense system from the IAEA for $500 million. In both transactions, Amir Peretz, the chairman of the IAA, played a central role, thanks to his connections in the country.
