Luna al-Shibl, the media advisor to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has died following a car accident in Damascus last week. The incident has sparked intense speculation about potential foul play and espionage within the highest echelons of the Syrian government.

According to reports from the Qatari press, the crash may have been intentional. An armored vehicle allegedly struck al-Shibl's car, and the driver has been arrested. Initially hospitalized with severe brain hemorrhage, al-Shibl's condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to her death. In the aftermath, both her brother and husband were taken into custody.

Rami Abdulrahman, director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, provided new details in an interview with Saudi Arabia's Al-Hadath channel. He claimed that al-Shibl's husband, Moneim al-Shibl, is accused of leaking information about the leadership of the so-called "Axis of Resistance." Abdulrahman further alleged that Luna al-Shibl herself had leaked protocols of secret discussions between Iranian and Syrian regime officials to the Russians, and possibly to Israel.

"If Israel's infiltration has reached this level, it indicates significant breaches existing in Syrian territory," Abdulrahman stated. He also mentioned that other officials in the presidential palace and al-Shibl's brother are accused of spying for Israel.

These allegations, if true, suggest a major security breach within Syria's highest political circles, potentially compromising sensitive information shared between Syria, Iran, and their allies.

As of now, the Syrian government has not officially responded to these allegations.
