The suspects will be questioned and brought before a court based on the investigation. The unauthorized individuals were discovered within a building site in Jerusalem, and are suspected to have crossed over illegally from the West Bank.

The ongoing challenge for Israeli police is finding and apprehending undocumented residents. This evening, 54 undocumented individuals in their twenties and thirties were discovered at a construction site on Toval Street in Jerusalem and were apprehended for interrogation. All the suspects from the West Bank were transported to the Lev HaBira police station for interrogation.

In recent months, numerous operations have been carried out to stop illegal residents from entering Israel, resulting in the apprehension of many individuals attempting unauthorized entry or already present in the country.

In early June, the Border Police secret team apprehended 17 individuals in a two-faced truck controlled by a Hamas member residing in Jerusalem. Furthermore, in May, a total of 61 individuals from the Florentine neighbourhood in Tel Aviv were detained within various apartments located in the same building.

The authorities stated that individuals who assist, move, and provide housing for undocumented immigrants will also be held accountable under the law, following the start of legal action.
