As Israel and Hamas continue to try and arrive at a hostage deal, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich issued a statement today (Monday) warning of what he considered to be the folly of stopping the war now.

Smotrich said that Hamas is in "collapse" and that "this is the time to press the neck and crush and break the enemy."

He said that "to stop now, a moment before the end, and let them rebuild to fight us again is illogical folly which will throw the achievements of the war acquired in much blood down the drain."

He concluded with: "We must continue until victory!"
