Two days ago, Benny Bitton, the mayor of Dimona, published a post in which he revealed the ambitious project to be built in the southern city, according to Mako News. The hotel and resort are estimated to cost about NIS 200 million.
"Meet the first glamping resort in Israel - in Dimona"! he wrote. "The planned village will be the first of its kind in Israel and will be built near the actual Nabatean city! The developers of the tourist village continue to advance in the conceptual planning stages and last week the developers presented advanced plans to the municipality."
"The village will provide a holiday experience identical to the most advanced holiday villages in Europe. Recreation complexes, water canals, various types of buildings will be built in the village, ranging from large family villas to tiered suites with direct entrance into the water canals that will be integrated into the village," the statement went on to say.
