Gallant: Significant progress has been made on the issue of armaments

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said after his meeting with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan that significant progress had been made and obstacles had been removed regarding the issue of supplying arms to Israel.

Amid exchanges of accusations between the US and Israel on the issue of arms supply, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Wednesday that during his meeting with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, significant progress had been made on the issue of armaments.

During the meeting, the two discussed advancements in combat in Gaza, various efforts to return captives, the need to restore northern residents to their homes following changes in the security situation on the border, and special collaborations between Israel and the United States against Iranian attacks and the threat of nuclear military weapons.

Following his meetings at the White House, the defence minister stated, "I am ending a very important visit to the United States today. During the meetings, significant progress has been made, obstacles have been removed, and bottlenecks have been opened up in order to advance all the issues that are on the table, including the issue of equipment and armaments that we need to bring to the State of Israel."
