The London-based Saudi paper al-Majalla reports that some 200,000 Palestinians are believed to have left the Gaza Strip since the war began. According to the report, between 80 and 100,000 Palestinians left by April, and that number has since doubled.

The report also noted that much of the physical infrastructure, including many homes, has been destroyed by the war. This, coupled with uncertainty about the day after the war, has led many to decide to try their luck somewhere else.
