The Pennsylvania IDF veteran who returned to fight Hamas in Gaza

IDF veteran Yitzhak Nadoff was visiting Israel away from his home in Pennsylvania when October 7 broke out. He then called his father and told him - I'm staying.

Yitzhak Nadoff, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and an IDF veteran was visiting friends in a base in the north. When he woke up on October 7 to hear of the Hamas attack, he wrote his father that he was not coming home.

Thus did a two week trip become a four and a half month stay.

After fighting Hamas in Gaza for fifty days, he returned to the states for three months - only to return to go back into the fray.

Yitzhak said that when he was in the states, one of his friends who hadn't seen him for two years approached him, saying "I want to hug you. I've been following what you're doing in the past few months and I want to tell you two things: first - you're on the right side of history. Second - the moral confusion in the world is terribly scary."
