The US State Department announced that National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi and Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer will meet this evening (Thursday) with the US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, as well as with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
The meeting will take place after the more extensive discussion between senior American and Israeli officials regarding new data pointing to Iran's ambitions to obtain nuclear weapons was canceled last night. All this took place against the background of the outrage in the US over the video published by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he harshly attacked the Biden administration and accused them of delaying arms shipments to Israel.
In the video, Netanyahu stated: "I said it's inconceivable that in the past few months, the administration has been withholding weapons and ammunitions to Israel. Israel, America's closest ally, is fighting for its life, fighting against Iran and our other common enemies".
"Secretary Blinken assured me that the administration is working day and night to remove these bottlenecks. I certainly hope that's the case. It should be the case,” concluded Netanyahu.
