The IDF has achieved "operational control" of Rafah's NPK and Brazil neighborhoods, eliminated at least 550 Hamas gunmen, and effectively dismantled two of Hamas' four battalions in the southern city.

Times of Israel reporter Emanuel Fabian notes that the IDF believes there is a large number of fighters killed in tunnels and buildings who have not been identified, and that many more have fled with the advance of the IDF.

The 162nd Division has suffered 22 dead in the Rafah fighting so far, including the eight killed in the APC attacked last Saturday.
