According to Channel 12 reporter Yaron Avraham, the cabinet is set to announce a number of dramatic sanctions against the Palestinian Authority and countries which recently recognized a state of Palestine.

According to the report, among the sanctions against the PA will be the legalization of 4 Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria and economic measures. In addition, the cabinet will declare sanctions against countries which recently recognized a Palestinian state.

According to reports, these decisions are due to Smotrich's long standing pressure on the matter in the extended cabinet as well as the departure of Gantz and Eizenkot's party, who vetoed such steps when they were in the government.
