Israelis from the north structure new protest organization, "Our homes are on fire we need security."
After weeks of intense escalation in attacks on the North, residents have created a new protest movement. "We won't be a security zone," expressed coordinators of the new forum called "Battling for the North." "We will go to an emergency protest and yell, 'The State of Israel has lost the North,' after eight months of patiently waiting outside of our homes. Because it is time to say enough, we are going out in protest."
"It's time to win," the organizers declared. The new protest group's first move was to block the entrance to Jerusalem on Saturday night. It asked Israelis to join the demonstration and "support the evacuees from the north and citizens living under fire for eight months," the group said.
Additionally, protesters were opposed to an agreement to be made regarding the North. "We will not accept a surrender agreement to return home. The organizers demanded that the government 'go win in the north.'"
Rafael Slav, one of the protest movement's leaders, told the cabinet and the war cabinet, "Start caring about the North," saying "we won't consent to return home with a surrender agreement," he added.
