French President Emmanuel Macron, trying to promote a solution to the war in the north with Hezbollah, announced the establishment of a tripartite committee of Israel, France and the United States to calm the situation.

However, it seems that Israel is not interested in the French initiative. Defense Minister Yoav Galant tweeted: "At a time when the State of Israel is fighting the most just war in its history, France has shown hostility and enmity against us, while blatantly ignoring the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists against children and women - just because they are Jews. We will not be partners in the committee to regulate the security situation on the northern border if France takes part in it."
