As reported by Erev Tov, in the wake of the Knesset's approval of the draft exemption law for Haredim, and amid the somber news of four soldiers fallen in the Gaza Strip, renowned Israeli singer Hanan Ben Ari has issued a heartfelt plea to the Haredi community. His message, delivered with sincerity and urgency, calls for greater unity and participation in the national effort, highlighting the critical need for additional soldiers in the IDF.

"My Haredi brothers, I am writing to you honestly and painfully, without intermediaries and without going through politicians and activists. I love you, I know and appreciate many of you personally. I also know that more and more Haredim are enlisting, and many who do not enlist do serve Israeli society in various ways. I also understand your fear that a foreign culture will be imposed on you and your education. Truly.

"But we need you. This is a real alarm. The blood of our brothers and sisters cries out to us from the ground. The people of Israel are in distress, and alongside study and prayers, we need tens of thousands more soldiers to enlist so that we don't collapse militarily and economically. I know you are lovers of Israel, so tell me: what needs to happen for you to enlist in the war effort of the people of Israel? What are the solutions? What can build trust? I don't believe in coercion of any kind, but is there anyone to talk to and about what?"

As the nation faces significant challenges, Ben Ari's call for Haredi enlistment in the IDF resonates deeply, urging a dialogue that bridges cultural divides and fosters unity for the security and prosperity of Israel.
