Senior Arab Affairs commentator Tzvi Yehezkeli referring to Jerusalem Day today (Wednesday), saying that Israel has not yet completed the victory of the 1967 Six Day War. He called Moshe Dayan's decision to give the keys to the Temple Mount to the Jordanian Waqf "a terribly tragic decision."
In a discussion about victory in Gaza, Yehezkeli clarified that in the Middle East there is only one sign of victory and that is the occupation of territory and not the returning of keys of ownership. He warned that the events of October 7 would also occur in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria: "It's only a matter of time until this too happens."
Yechezkeli continued: "It's not over yet, we can't go around anywhere in the country. We are not actually living the fruits of victory. Because we didn't preserve the victory and we didn't understand that it was necessary to preserve it. We took into account what the world says and not what we think. You can't be indifferent to Jerusalem, there is no such thing."
