The Tel Aviv District Court limited the ban on al-Jazeera broadcasting in Israel to 35 days, with no option for the government to renew the order.
The court said that it was presented with convincing evidence that the Qatar-based al-Jazeera news outlet worked closely with Hamas and serves to promote its agenda as Israel fights a war against it, including "realtime" broadcasts of the location of IDF soldiers, endangering their safety.
However, because Israel did not allow al-Jazeera to have a full hearing before the injunction shutting them down was issued, the court considers this to be a procedural flaw and decided to limit the injunction to just 25 days.
The case of al-Jazeera is also expected to come before the Supreme Court as the channel has also appealed there against the ban.
