Israel-Gaza War, Hostage Deal

Look surprised: Hamas refuses the deal

Hamas political leader Osama Hamdan convened a press conference announcing that the organization would accept no deal that did not include a complete IDF withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and a permanent cease-fire.

Hamas senior leader Osama Hamdan reiterated the terrorist organization's stance in an official press conference, stating that "we informed the mediators that we cannot agree to a deal which does not assure a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, alongside a serious prisoners' deal."

As Israel continues to debate the parameters of the proposed and now rejected hostage deal with Hamas, and with Smotrich and Ben Gvir's parties threatening to leave the coalition if a deal goes forward, Aryeh Deri's Shas party announced today (Tuesday) that it will give the Israeli proposal "full support."

In the statement, Shas said that "Shas supports the proposal and supports the Prime Minister and war cabinet to stand up against all pressures, to bring the deal to a conclusion and save the lives of many of our brothers and sisters who are in distress and captivity."
