IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi conducted a tour and situational assessment today (Tuesday) with Fire and Rescue Services Commissioner Eyal Caspi on the northern border, together with 91st Division Commander Brig.-Gen-. Shai Kelper and other fire and IDF officers.

The Chief of Staff also spoke with commanders of the Golani Brigade currently on the northern border, saying that "we are approaching the point where a decision will need to be made, and the IDF is prepared and very ready for that decision. We have been attacking her for eight months and Hezbollah is paying a very, very high price. It raised the intensity in the past few days and we are conducting a very good process of training to the level of a General Staff exercise to move over to the offensive in the north. Strong defense, readiness for attack, we are getting close to a decision point."
