A disabled IDF veteran with previous violent incidents in his past arrived this morning at the Defense Ministry's rehabilitation wing at Tel Hashomer, where he threw a stun grenade at the security guards at the entrance.

The grenade exploded in an open area without casualties or damage. During the incident, a security guard fired in the air.

The 48-year old suspect, a resident of the center, fled and was caught half an hour later by the police, where he was then taken in for interrogation as Mesubim station.

The Defense Ministry said that "this is a suspect who has in the past committed serious acts of violence towards workers of the Rehabilitation Department, including death threats against workers and managers."

ממשרד הביטחון נמסר ש"מדובר בחשוד שבעברו אירועי אלימות חמורים כנגד עובדי אגף השיקום, לרבות איומים ברצח על עובדים ומנהלים".
