WSJ: US Gaza pier damaged due to choppy waters

Two of the four boats stabilizing the pier detached and ended up on the shore near Ashdod. US sources say the pier is still operational despite the damage.

Over the weekend, two of the four boats stabilizing the temporary pier meant to help provide aid to Gazan civilians detached, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

Per the report, the two boats ended up on the shore near Ashdod, while the other two boats are still attached.

Israeli officials told the Journal that the pier is still operational despite the damage, and that the Israeli Navy is assisting the effort to repair the damage.
