Mahmoud Abass, leader of the Ra'am party, is under increasing pressure, including from his own party, over implying that he does not believe the IDF is committing war crimes in Gaza.

Ra'am Party Chairman Mansour Abass is under increasing fire after saying that he does not believe the IDF is committing war crimes in Gaza. Now the Balad party has criticized him, saying "Mansour Abbas is trying to whitewash Israel's war crimes. His words are shameful and the Arab public needs to disavow them."

Earlier today, Ibahim Sarsur, former head of Ra'am and one of its leaders, demanded Mansour Abbas resign from the movement.

After feeling under pressure from Abbas' statement earlier today, the leadership of the Ra'am party published a statement claiming that Israel is committing war crimes and that its leaders need to be held legally accountable.
