The IDF continues to prepare to draft Charedim. This morning (Wednesday), Army Radio reported on an IDF plan to form a Charedi brigade. The plan is being worked on in the Manpower Directorate and is expected to be presented soon.

According to a report by Yoel Brim, the brigade will include some 3,000 Charedi soldiers, who will have to pass an acceptance committee and commit to maintaining a Charedi lifestyle. The commanders will all be men, and women will not be included at any stages of the service. In addition, the brigade will be solely Charedi - no religious Zionists will be allowed, as they have until now.

In addition, the service framework will include obligatory participation in prayer, a daily hour of religious study, and mehadrin kosher food. All ceremonies will be completely separated and adapted for Charedim.
