Last night (Sunday), over 4,000 attended a major ceremony in memory of Israel's fallen. The ceremony differed from the others in one respect - it was for the ultra-Orthodox community, who by and large do not serve in the IDF.
With Chief Rabbis, ministers, MKs, leaders, and others in attendance, this ceremony, which used to host about 1,000 people, now had to move to the International Convention Center due to high demand on the part of Charedi Israeli Jews.
At the ceremony, Yossi Levi, CEO of the Netzah Yehuda Organization said, "We have gathered for this year's memorial ceremony, the six of its kind, with a broken heart to remember the fallen, the martyrs of Israel's campaigns and the casualties of hostile actions who chose to protect their nation and country through their sacrifice. This highest of action is our consolation and the ultimate unity in the Nation of Israel. A great unity that includes thousands of people from every sector of Israeli society, IDF soldiers, scholars of Torah and Rabbis, "Who is like you Israel?"
