The decision comes amid ever increasing pressure by the United States to allow more aid for Gazan civilians.

The IDF announced today (Sunday) that it was opening a new, "Western Erez" crossing into northern Gaza, based on the government's directive and under increasing American pressure to increase humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
