Watch: IDF seizes Rafah-Egypt crossing

Following the attack on Kerem Shalom and the partial breakdown of talks with Hamas, the IDF has launched a limited operation to seize the Rafah crossing into Egypt and attacked terrorists and terror infrastructure.

Last night (between Monday and Tuesday), the IDF launched a limited operation into the Rafah area, seizing the border crossing between Gaza and Egypt and attacking terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.

The 401st Brigade combat team under the command of 162nd Division led a limited operation to seize the Rafah border crossing, due to its suspected use by terrorists, including the attack on Kerem Shalom which killed 4 soldiers and wounded 10.

Tunnels shafts, infrastructure, and terrorist structures were also destroyed, and 20 terrorists killed.

The IDF reports no casualties.

The IDF also stated that it was coordinating with humanitarian organizations to ensure they move with the population away from the battlefield and towards the expanded humanitarian zone.
