President Biden spoke for half an hour with Prime Minister Netanyahu today (Monday). The President asked for clarifications regarding the emerging Rafah operation and reiterated the administration's "clear position" on such an operation - meaning their consistent objection to it.

Per the White House readout of the talk, the President also insisted the Kerem Shalom crossing be reopened, despite it being closed down yesterday after a projectile strike on IDF forces killing 4 soldiers and wounding 10.

The President also "updated the Prime Minister on efforts to secure a hostage deal, including through ongoing talks today in Doha, Qatar."
