The head of Israel's General Security Service, Ronen Bar, gave a speech on the occasion of the Holocaust Day ceremony in the Shin Bet's Samaria area, and called on the State of Israel to unite in memory of the Holocaust and October 7 massacre, and pledged that the service will bring death to those who wish death upon Israel.

Bar opened his remarks by stating that: "The State of Israel cannot afford not to be the last barrier." He then went on to pledge that those who rise up against the State of Israel will pay the price: "We, as servicemen, will make sure that those who glorify death will find their death, and that the lives of the fallen will be sanctified forever."

Bar went on to emphasize the need for the unity ahead of future challenges: "The murderers did not distinguish between us: Left-wing and right, Sephardim and Ashkenazim, women, men, Jews and non-Jews; religious and secular, soldiers and civilians, babies and the elderly, kibbutzniks and city-dwellers," he pointed out. "The State of Israel can only maintain its status as the last remaining barrier if it is united - behind the leadership, behind the values and the goal. We don't have to agree on everything, but we have to treat each other as brothers."

Finally, Bar concluded his remarks with the promise of rebuilding: "In the name of those who were murdered, we must rebuild our national resilience, our deterrence, and our partnerships."
