Officials in the Hamas terrorist organization reported that negotiations for a hostage deal in Cairo have come to an end, and that the team representing the organization will leave Egypt and return to Qatar.

Those close to Hamas report that a senior official in the organization said that as of this moment, the talks that took place in Egypt have ended, and that the organization's negotiating team will leave the Egyptian capital and return to Doha in Qatar, where they will meet with the senior leadership of the group.

It is not clear from the messages if contacts with Israel were officially blown up, but it does appear that the top of the terrorist organization came to the conclusion that they probably would not get what they wanted at this stage of the contacts, especially in light of Israel's refusal to end the war and failure to send a negotiating team back to Cairo.
