With the increasing possibility of an Israeli military response on Iranian soil to the Iranian drone and missile attack, a senior IRGC official responsible for the country's nuclear installations said "if Israel tries to hit the nuclear installations, we will examine our nuclear policy."

Iran's official policy is that its nuclear installations are solely for civilian use. BUt this threat clarifies that they can easily be transformed for military use.

The senior official also stated that the nuclear installations are protected, and that if Israel decides to strike them, "we have precise information regarding the Israeli nuclear installations, and our missiles are prepared to destroy the targets that were set."
