IDF Chief of Staff: Iranian attack will be met with a response

Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi made this statement while visiting the Nevatim air base, reportedly one of the targets of the Iranian attack.

In a visit to Nevatim Air Force Base, one of the targets of the Iranian missile and drone attack early Sunday morning, IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said that "this launch of so many missiles, cruise missiles, drones into the territory of the State of Israel will be met with a response."

Following the unprecedented attack on Israel launched from Iranian soil, a series of countries summoned their Iranian ambassadors to be seriously reprimanded for their conduct in the Middle East.

In Germany, the Foreign Ministry said "the conversation (with the Iranian ambassador is sharply criticizing the ambassador and delivering messages that he must deliver to the Iranian regime regarding the consequences of the strike for relations between the countries."

The Czech Foreign Ministry also summoned its Iranian ambassador, during which "the Foreign Minister stressed to the ambassador that Iranian conduct is not acceptable to Czechia or the European Union in general." The Foreign Minister also announced after the meeting that Iran was "endangering regional security and harming global stability, all this with the silence of Russia, the allies of the Iranians."

Jordan also summoned its ambassador and demanded explanations regarding the use of Jordanian airspace for the attack. The country also reprimanded the ambassador and regime for their threats and said that, "we will intercept any foreign object which penetrates into our airspace."
