The IDF announced today (Monday) that an explosion on the northern border with Lebanon seriously injured one soldier. Two others were moderately injured and another fighter from the unit was lightly hurt in the incident. According to the IDF spokesperson, the incident is being investigated and the wounded soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment.

The soldiers who were hurt in the explosion belonged to the Golani brigade and the Yahalom Combat Engineering Corps unit, and were participating in an operation in the western sector of the northern border.

The IDF did not immediately state that Hezbollah was responsible for the attack. Other options for the explosion include an undetonated land mine or an explosive device in the area.
