As part of its efforts to prepare for a possible broader war in the north, the IDF conducted a large scale defensive exercise involving the Air Force, specifically its combat helicopter unit, various IDF ground forces, and rescue and extraction forces.

This is the latest in a series of efforts to ensure military and civilian readiness in case of a broad war with Hezbollah, which is expected to be more difficult than the war with Hamas and take a heavier toll on the civilian rear.
