Following the passage of a law granting the Prime Minister the authority to deny channels inciting to terrorism the right to broadcast from the country, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced he would apply this authority immediately against al-Jazeera.

Netanyahu, who is still hospitalized at Hadassah following a hernia removal operation conducted last night, welcomed the passage of a law against media networks inciting to terrorism on the second and third vote in the Knesset.

In a statement posted to social media, Netanyahu announced that he would immediately apply the law against al-Jazeera, promising that the channel would no longer air in Israel.

The Prime Minister stated that "Al-Jazeera harmed Israeli security, actively participated in the October 7 massacre, and incited against IDF soldiers. The time has come to remove Hamas' mouthpiece from our country."
