Report: Prime Minister Netanyahu to undergo hernia operation tonight

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the hernia was discovered during a routine examination, and he agreed to an operation under general anasthesia.

The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement today (Sunday) that a hernia had been detected during a routine medical examination of Netanyahu last night.

The statement further read that Netanyahu decided with his doctors to conduct a hernia operation under general anaesthetic once the government agenda was completed today.

While unconscious, Justice Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Yariv Levin will serve in his stead.
