Magen David Adom issues urgent request for blood donations

MDA's blood bank announced that "there has been a decline in the blood inventory, this could lead to difficulties in supplying blood units and components to hospitals and the IDF."

The blood bank of Magen David Adom warns that it is reaching its lower limit. If the public donated tens of thousands of blood units at the beginning of the war, that reserve is now dwindling five and a half months in and approaching the danger zone.

Magen David Adom warns that “in recent days, there is a decline in the blood inventory, something which may lead to difficulties in providing blood units and components to hospitals and the IDF.”

“Blood has no substitute – every unit of blood could save the lives of three patients or injured people who need a blood infusion. The MDA blood services call on the public: come to the donation points, donate blood, and save lives.”
