After being targeted in an IDF strike two weeks ago, the IDF Spokesperson officially confirmed that Marwan Issa, Mohammad Dief's deputy and one of the masterminds behind the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit and October 7, is dead.

In his statement today (Tuesday), Hagari said: "This evening, after we checked all the intelligence, we are publicly stating that Marwan Issa was eliminated in a strike we carried out...taken out in a focused strike of IDF Intelligence and the Shin Bet. We will continue the supreme effort to pursue and reach Hamas leaders."

He also said that "In the Gaza Strip, we are continuing the focused operation in Shifa Hospital. So far we've arrested 500 terrorists identified with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. We arrested the person in charge of weapons manufacturing, the head of Hamas personal security, and the Islamic Jihad's money portfolio."

"The terrorists are hiding in the lowest floor of the hospital. They operate in the hospital wings and destroy the hospital. Hamas spreads lies on social media and al-Jazeera on harm to civilians."

The IDF Spokesperson stressed that "no civilian was harmed, only terrorists."
