The IDF announced this morning (Monday) that the security forces are continuing targeted fighting in the Shifa Hospital area. The combat teams of the 401st Brigade, the Nahal Brigade, and the 13th Fleet under the command of the 162nd Division are fighting in the area while avoiding harm to civilians, patients, medical teams, and medical equipment.

About 500 terrorists associated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad have been detained so far, and numerous weapons have been confiscated in the area.

The IDF also notes that soldiers led by the 98th Division are continuing their raids on terrorist infrastructure around the Al Amal hospital complex after surrounding the area. Over 20 terrorists have been killed there over the past day in close-quarters fighting and air force strikes.

Field investigators and Shin Bet officials have interrogated dozens of suspects in the past day, allowing hundreds of Gazans to leave the area.

In raids carried out by commando units on a number of terrorist infrastructures in the area, explosives, RPG weapons, and military equipment were located. Meantime, the Nahal Brigade continues to operate in the central Gaza and has eliminated a number of terrorists over the past day.

As part of a sniper ambush by the forces, a terrorist was identified coming out and entering a tunnel shaft near their sector. An aircraft was sent in and eliminated the target. During the last day, IAF fighter jets attacked about 50 terrorist facilities throughout the Gaza Strip, including terrorist infrastructures and military buildings.

Combat helicopters and other aircraft eliminated about 10 terrorists and targeted additional terrorist targets in order to assist the maneuvering forces.
