Watch: IDF eliminates ambushing terrorist in Khan Yunis

A combat team of the Commando Brigade, directed by the Shin Bet and IDF Intelligence, operated in the Hamad neighborhood in Khan Yunis. Soldiers have raided some 100 buildings so far, eliminating dozens of terrorists and locating many weapons.

The terrorists were eliminated in close quarters combat, often after hunkering down at various levels in the residential towers. Drones helped to identify and eliminate them.

The operation in Hamad was accompanied by close cooperation with the Air Force, which has been striking terror targets to prepare and aid the ground force's maneuver.

Maglan forces also arrested dozens of terrorists who surrendered and were brought to be investigated by Unit 504 at IDF Intelligence and the Shin Bet. During the fighting, the soldiers located many weapons including cartridges, weapons, and bombs.
