IDF: Mastermind behind the 2014 kidnapping of three youths captured in Shifa raid

The Shifa raid has also resulted in 90 terrorists killed and hundreds captured, with no reported casualties among the hospital or staff.

The IDF announced today (Wednesday) that it captured Mahmoud Qawasmeh, a senior Hamas terrorist who master minded the 2014 kidnapping and murder of the three youths Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar, and Naftali Frenkel, which led to the launching of Operation Protective Edge against Hamas.

The Shifa hospital raid has resulted in about 90 dead terrorists and hundreds more captured, with lots of captured intelligence.

The IDF forces raiding the compound were specially trained to avoid harming hospital staff or patients, and no casualties among them have been reported.

Two IDF soldiers were acknowledged to have been killed in the raid.
