Agricultural Ministry now includes food security in job description

According to ministry director-general Lavi, the ministry will be working on a 25-year plan to ensure the country's food security.

Agriculture Ministry Director-General revealed today that the ministry headed by Avi Dichter of Likud is set to change both policy and its name.

According to the Channel 12 report, Lavi revealed at the Israel Green Economy Conference that the ministry’s new title will be “Agriculture and Food Security Ministry.” According to Lavi, the ministry is set to build a plan for the country’s food security for the next 25 years, “in order to see after our children.”
